Sweetwater I

Since the moment I arrived in Miami, ten years ago, I’ve had a fascination with the Ocean, the Bay and the Miami River surrounding my home, my life.

In 2009 with my red Holga camera in hand, and a video tape recorder, I took long walks under the Brickell Avenue Bridge.

Discovering the geography that surrounds us and its effect on our lives, I continue to follow the Miami River over its bridges and on its waters.

SWEETWATER / Miami River and MAYAIMI / Big Water - are related to the history of the Miami River, its settlers, the Tequesta, who mainly settled at the mouth of the Miami River and the Mayaimi who lived around Lake Okeechobee.
